Invitation to imaging scientists, engineers, clinicians, and entrepreneurs to attend and present at the M+Visión Open HouseOn July 19-20, 2012, the Madrid-MIT M+Visión Consortium will hold its first Open House in Madrid with a two-day event to showcase biomedical imaging research and development activities occurring in universities, clinics, and industry. The primary goal is to facilitate networking among investigators and to catalyze relationships that could develop into collaborative projects.
In order to allow for the introduction of the wide range of ongoing work, the first day of the Open House will be devoted to short (few minutes) “rapid fire” oral presentations, poster sessions, and networking breaks. In addition, we will compile a compendium of projects including copies of the presentations, and the participant list. (See the archive of the Boston Open House for a sample program and videos.)
We invite you to attend, and if you desire, to present your work and interests to a broad range of interest groups, make connections with potential collaborators, and meet colleagues with similar interests! Register at http://www.serglo.net/congresos/open2012/
If you would like to present, we ask that you coordinate with your groups and submit one presentation (oral and/or poster) per project. We welcome all your group members to attend.
Please note that all presentations must follow the short 6 slide format; some will be selected as oral presentations, and any that we cannot accommodate as oral will be printed as a poster. You are also welcome to bring other posters from your group, space permitting.
To facilitate networking, we encourage attendees to be present throughout the day. The second day will consist of tours to labs within Madrid.
We look forward to your active participation in the M+Visión Open House. We appreciate your positive reply by Friday, July 6th at http://www.serglo.net/congresos/open2012/.
